This year, a minor formatting difference caused the page numbers to diverge beginning at Chapter 11: Duty to Others.
At the end of Chapter 10: Withdrawal from Representation:
In the Barrister materials, one paragraph continues from page 72 onto a mostly blank page 73, followed by a blank page 74. As a result, Chapter 11 begins on page 75.
In the Solicitor materials, that same paragraph fits entirely on page 72, with no spill-over page and no blank page. As a result, Chapter 11 begins on page 73.
This creates a 2-page difference from Chapter 11 through to the end of the materials. That is why this year’s index included separate B. Pg and S. Pg columns.
If you are writing the Barrister exam: Use theS. Pg column. Although the heading says S. Pg, that column contains the correct Barrister page numbers throughout the entire index. Please ignore the B. Pg column completely.
If you are writing the Solicitor exam: Use the S. Pg column, with one simple adjustment:
Chapters 1–10: use the S. Pg number exactly as printed.
Chapters 11–15: subtract 2 pages from the S. Pg number.
For example, if the S. Pg column shows 81A for a Chapter 11–15 topic, turn to 79A in your Solicitor materials.
